Madison, WI — Beer & Cheese Fest, one of Wisconsin’s most beloved craft events, is entering a new chapter. The annual celebration of bold brews and artisan cheeses — previously organized by Isthmus — has officially been acquired by Brothers Molloy Events, a Madison-based production company known for building high-quality, high-impact experiences rooted in community and care.
Founded by Lucas Molloy, Brothers Molloy Events has built its reputation on producing and executing large-scale events with heart — including Art Fair on the Square, Madison Night Market, Vermont Brewers Festival, and the NH Bacon & Beer Festival. With audiences topping 200,000 attendees, Lucas and his team are known not just for delivering polished experiences, but for how they do it.
“Beer & Cheese Fest is already something special — we just want to honor what’s been built and keep making it better,” said Molloy. “That means thoughtful details, great communication, and making sure everyone — brewers, cheesemakers, fest-goers, staff — feels seen and supported.”
Lucas began his career in events at Big Top Events, the company behind the Madison Mallards, Forward Madison FC, and Breese Stevens Field. There, he executed and sometimes developed nationally touring concerts, festivals, and sporting events. He later joined Race Day Events, focusing on endurance and running events, before launching Brothers Molloy Events in 2021.
Lucas has since been sought out by high-profile clients across the country to plan and execute complex, nuanced events. In addition to producing events nationwide, he also owns and operates Uncork Me Madison, a wine sampling festival that just celebrated its fourth successful year at Breese Stevens Field this past May.
He is thrilled to add another beloved community event to his portfolio — especially one so close to home.
Today, Lucas is widely respected in the industry for his hands-on leadership, extreme attention to detail, and a deep commitment to building genuine relationships. Whether it’s a first-time vendor or a longtime production partner, he’s known for treating everyone with respect and operating with integrity — a core value that has shaped Brothers Molloy Events from the ground up.
“We don’t just show up and run an event — we think about every piece of the experience,” said Molloy. “And we listen. Always.”
Having attended Beer & Cheese Fest himself, Lucas brings the unique perspective of a former fan turned steward of the event. He lives just south of Madison with his dog, Lola, and is an avid fan of sours, barleywines, and any beer that breaks the mold.
“This isn’t a corporate takeover,” said Molloy. “We’re a local team who cares deeply about craft, culture, and community — and we’re here to get it right.”
